Neil just sent me some shots he took of me when we went to Contacios near Trigg in early Feb.
The surf in in general is crap, never a ground swell, always a 1-2 foot wind swell that closes out as a bone crunching shorey. This day was a fun 2-3 foot and breaking somewhat further out the back than usual, still closing out although. Unless you live in Margaret River, my long ride days are over here in Perth.
I can testify to the 'bone crunching' statement as I was slammed on the sand bar on a bigger day in March 2 years ago at the same place. I have surfed all over the east coast since 1983 and have not ever broken a bone until that day 2-3 foot close out barrels onto the shallow sandbar at Contacio's.
I was out surfing on the 23rd and 24th of March and Layne Beachley paddled out with a whole bunch of Surfer chicks. Was quite cool. I had my camera on the beach although the surf was so good(well as good as Perth can get) that I just stayed out popping some nice El Rolo combo's to the shoreline.
Yeah me and Kylie we held up in the Perth Sheraton on the 24th of March for Scott and Nat's wedding, was a good night.
Well, My sister Fran got married on the 15th of April, my whole family was over(mum,dad,other sister and also a surprise visit from our uncle for the occasion) Was a great day and I was taking all the pictures. I took about 300 shots so there has been some nice ones out of all that.
