Here is my Media Lab and my window to the Web.
I have a 2.4 Ghz Pentium 4 with 80Gb of Memory and 512Mb of Ram.
I have a terratec EWX - 24/96 Audio Card that is responsible for reproducing awsome sound clarity from whatever source unit I choose and feeding it through hi quality gold plated Acoustic Research RCA leads to my 100watt RMS Yamaha A-720 Stereo power amp.
The audio card has optical in/out connections and RCA out/in as well as 2 MIDI Connections.
I have peripheral sources such as my 1972 Technics sl-1200 turntable, Behringer mic and Yamaha AN1x Analogue modelling Synth that connect to my compact Yamaha Mg10/2 Mixing console. The Turntable is daisy chained through a humble 'Pro Dj Systems' Ecko unltd. Edition - 2 channel 'battle' mixer and then connected to the '2tr in' of the Yamaha mixing console.
The mixing console is then connected through its 'st out' to the Terratec audio cards set of RCA inputs.
The Yamaha a-720 power amp is set to AUX and will play whatever source is selected at the time, whether its MP3's on hard drive, to vinyl on the Technics, or even when im cranking some spun out shit on my synth.
The speakers are DB Dynamics 8 ohm book shelf speakers connected to the Yamaha amp via 5mm monster cable(biggest ive seen) and the length is no more that a metre and a half.
All in all I have fun with it. I'm sure there are much easier, or smarter set ups around although im happy with what i got.
I also have a TV card and just a 64Mb video card.
Am wanting to upgrade so everything is wireless, is still semi oldschool this computer now.
