EastCoast Trip....
I went to my friend Leanne's place in Melbourne and hung out with her for 4 nights and had a chilled out time with her. She is a nurse and we met in Oxford England..
I also visited Vic Roads and had a tour of their customer service operations and also their treaffic operation centre.
Melbourne is a cool place...... so urban....... it knows what it is and its quitely happy about its self, the pubs are cosy little classics and the city is bursting with stuff goin on.

The Espy hotel

He took Friday off and we went for a drive up the coast. Was really good..... saw all the beautiful beaches on the north of Sydney, I could live there is awesome...... we also went to a couple of pubs and saw Palm beach where they film Home and away, also went to the national park where 'Skippy was filmed also although it was closed.
I got food poisoning from this Thai Restraunt in Dee Why and had the worst cramps/pains at about 2-3am in the morning and had to have the rest of the day in bed. was required cos I was so exhausted at that time any way from late nights etc... On the Saturday night we went out for dinner in the city and then did a bit of partying in the 'rocks' area of Sydney. We stayed in the posh eastern suburb of Rose bay at Keiths girlfriends that night before them dropping me off at the airport earlyish on sunday morning, just making it......I then flew to Brisbane and had my old best buddy Jeremy pick me up from the airport where he then took me back to his place in Bowen hills in Brisbane and I stayed the night an caught up slightly with Jeremy. I had a meeting with the Brisbane City council that I arranged the next day and went to it to have a look at their set up there, the tour was only about 5-10 mins. I then caught the train to Palmwoods on the Sunshine coast where my dad came and picked me up and took me home to my parents place. was good to see them.....I went to my best mates place in Nambour (Michael - Mic Dos) that night after dinner with the parents and we had a few drinks and stayed up pretty late even though he had to work.
I then alternated with day time meetings with my parents and night time liasions with my old school friends. My parents and my uncle came to dinner on Thursday night at the Buderim Tavern and a i had a real nice Moreton bay bug risotto(, they had humungous size steaks there also. Buderim is the small village where my parents lives is really nice there on top of a small mountain top.....
Thursday night was the last night with my parents and the Sunshine Coast as Myself and Mic Dos had arranged a loft apartment at the 'bunk' Backpackers in Fortitude Valley in Brisbane ( the seedy party part of town) the loft apartment was really cool. was double story and very new. This apartment was 2 mins walk from everywhere(the mulititude of night clubs and eateries). Perfect location. Mick invited his 'new' girlfriend on the saturday night and I can say 'wow' she was really nice.
We had Chinese meals both nights and we partied at a few clubs although by this time of my trip I was exhausted and was not too lively out......I also caught up with Jeremy and his mate Les on the Friday night and we had a couple of drinks and went to the Story Bridge Hotel (which I must say was pumping and totally renovated - heaps of dollars must have been spent)
On Saturday myself and mick were really tired although we went to the Valley Markets and got Shiatsu massages each and had an awesome breakfast at 'Fat boys' on the mall. A queensland breakfast institution must go.....
On the Sunday morning we went to cafe Cosmopolitan and had another nice breakfast, the Valley Mall is fantastic place to party and eat....I really miss Brisbane is a great place and it was really warm there about 25 degree C'. Mick left after our breaky leaving me on my own so I did a bit of shopping and also sightseeing round Brisbane, Jeremy picked me up from the the Bunk and we went back to his place.

Lately
Well after much sacrifice things are on the up and up.......
Me and Kylie have been car less, with out vehicle since May 17th. Since the crash. We have both making do and handling really well, with some occasional help from good friends like Zarin who lets us borrow her car to go shopping. Thanks alot Zeddy!! I was riding to work every single day and riding every where else.
Well i can confirm that as of Friday the 13th of July we have a car again.... YAY!!!
I bought a 1999 Toyota Corolla Conquest 1.8 that is Dual Fuel....runs on LPG and all for $9000. it has a little below the average Km's too at 156000. It is a beauty...... perfect condition inside and out..... is great. Is also made in Japan (although non import) and has heaps of creature comforts.....its like I have a 'real' car for once. hey dont get me wrong the Suzuki Baleno was a great 'Jam Jar', but this corolla is solid and I love it!!!
The previous week I had Friday off work and made it down Albany Highway in Victoria Park on my push bike, was looking at a couple of car yards with the intent to view this 'one owner, Honda Civic sedan that had been catching my eye each day as I rode to work. Let me just say i didnt make it to the Honda. I was stopped in my tracks at 'Pay Less Motors' with the little Toyota Corolla they had and when Steve (the saleman owner) advised it was on Gas.
I was on the mobile to Kylie who was doing some Redbook.com real time research for me whilst I was at the yard and confirmed I was getting a good deal. I basically told him that I was very interested in the car and asked him to do the car for $9000 rather than the 10000 he had it for, and the rest as they say is history. By the way, I really recommend Pay Less Motor company if you are in the market for a new car....Do it.
So after a week of getting a few small things done after the Rac test I had it in my hot little hands.
I have been getting some cool stuff off Ebay lately, a, waiting for a retro Tweed jacket, and also a San Pedro cactus. Ha even a black Skivvy/Turtle neck ...
hey By the way...Radio Birdman has been inducted TONIGHT into the Aria Rock'n'Roll hall of Fame....
Congratulations to them, it has never been an ambition of the band to achieve commercial notoriety although in the scheme of things Im sure they are all very chuffed about the award......ABOUT BLOODY TIME if you ask me, they should have been in there 20 years ago!!!
any way there will be some more to come and more photo's also!!!

June Escapades
All dressed up and know where to go. I have been keen to party lately although when push comes to shove and you open that door, the cold night air has been enough to keep in lately. I even missed beasts of Bourbon at Fremantle tonight(not having a car is actually a huge reason for not getting out lately also, der i forgot)
Well...on the 11th of June I was treated by a mate Darren who had come by a couple of Tickets to Guns n Roses at the Burswood Dome. They were supported by Sebastian Bach and Rose Tattoo. The line up to get in was so long we missed Rose Tattoo. The gunners were wicked, they had three Guitarists, two keyboardists, a drummer(of course) and a bass player.
Every musician bar maybe the second Keyboardist had there own solo, Axel had Sebastian Bach come and do a number with him and also the other dude with coke bottle glasses got up on stage called Mr bumble or something(excuse my ignorance but didnt know him) which was a little comic relief.

Axel has got older and now has a mature strength of character which was very endearing. He made mention about the 'who har' from different directions about the the reasons why Guns and roses is touring. In the end it was really a kick as experience, the band went of and the entire band cranks individually on their instrument, the 3 guitarists well and truly lived up to the 'Slash' legacy if you ask me.

Here are the final pictures of my car before it is either wrecked or rebuilt.

The Birdman sticker has served me well, RIP Suzuki Baleno.

Me on the jetty at the end of Peninsular ave in Maylands, went there with Zeddy and Bruce on Saturday night, was chilled out

Whats been happing in May
AS can be seen I had a car crash, or more like a motorbike crash. I was travelling home from after being at Neils place. It was approximately 12:05 -12:08 Am and A Motorcyclist ran a red light city bound on Shepparton Rd at the Teddington St intersection. I was stopped at the intersection awaiting the red right arrow to turn green so that i could proceed to turn right off Shepparton Rd into Teddington St. The light turned green, i proceeded through the intersection although noticed in the corner of my ey a motorcyclist who was not slowing at all for his red light. At the final millisecond I realized he wasn't stopping at all and went through the red light careering into me. Was a spin out!!! I saw him fly across the bonnet in the air about 10 meters, land and then get up and jump around like a chicken without its head also screaming and yelling his head off. Two other motorists escorted him to the side of the road where he collapsed. I then exited the car and sussed out how he was. He seemed in a bit of pain although there was no blood and he was attended to by the ambulance who dutifully took him away.I was breathalysed with a 0:00 reading and then driven home by the cops.
Strange night. My car was towed away... no more Baleno.
Neils BDAY!!!!
Neils 34th Birthday was on Tuesday Night, Happy Birthday mate. Kylie and I and also Zarin, Baggles, and a few of the crew were down at the Flying Scotsman for a dinner. Was a good night ending up at Neils later for a bit of a Darts match
.
We were stuck for something to at on Monday night, I whipped up some butter grilled fished, with a Onion, Tomato and Zuchini fried relish. Avacodo and mashed Potato and Pumkin for sides. Was so tasty I had to take a photo.
Kylie and I have been having some great meals (as usual) We are going to get more into the BBQ chicken thing. Above I made a citrus and thyme, white wine Marinate and seasoned with Salt pepper and paprika. Was awesome, Kylie made a great rice salad with wild rocket, onions and diced persimmon with some great olive oil and balsamic vinegar, fantastic accompaniment.
The New 'Permaculture Garden' Is coming along great. Its thriving. We now have Brocolli's Sweet Fennel, Wild Rocket, Sage, Thyme, Sweet Basil, A great Chilli Plant, Rhubarb, Pyrethrum, Marigolds, Mint and spring Onions. Passion fruit vine and Rosemary bush are still to be planted
